A Championship Moment to Remember at Cole Harbour High

In February, the energy was electric at Cole Harbour High School as teams battled it out in the MBANS Championship Finals — the grand finale of the Metro Basketball Association of Nova Scotia season.

Amidst the fast breaks, buzzer-beaters, and unforgettable plays, there was one more highlight for the winning teams: Halifax Hoopers’ own CJ Bennett was courtside to hand out the championship medals.

With a smile as sharp as his jump shot, CJ brought the spirit of the Hoopers to the court — celebrating the hard work, teamwork, and hustle of every young athlete who gave it their all.

“It’s always special to be part of moments like this,” CJ said. “You can feel how much the game means to these kids and their communities. That’s what Hoopers is all about.”

Big cheers to all the finalists, and a huge congrats to the champs! And of course — shoutout to MBANS and Cole Harbour High for hosting an incredible tournament.

The future of basketball in Nova Scotia? Looking bright. 💪🔥
